Meet Nico
Where he comes from…
Nico grew up on the outskirts of Mechanicville where he loved being outside and playing sports in his free time. He played Basketball, Baseball and Golf for Mechanicville High School and several travel teams. Although he loved sports, he decided to hang up the cleats when he chose Siena College. While at Siena, Nico focused on academics and fell in love with the Bloomberg terminals. He joined the Bjorklund fund as an analyst, helping manage real money and pitching investment ideas for the school fund. Post graduation, he interned at a local financial services firm and continued to advance in his career over the next several years. He obtained his Series 7, Series 66, Life, Accident, and Health licenses immediately out of college. Thinking he would be more investment focused in his field, he was surprised to find that he enjoyed individual financial planning much more. Even though Nico still enjoys analyzing stocks and bonds, his real love for finance came from the relationships he began forming with clients. Working with individuals on planning for their retirements and providing peace of mind to approaching retirees is what keeps Nico in the business. This is why he decided to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner in 2023. As a CFP® professional, he is able to provide holistic financial planning services for each and every one of his clients. Tax Planning, Investment Management, Insurance Planning, Estate Planning and Retirement Planning being the general topic areas. In 2026, Nico decided to open his own firm where he is currently accepting new clients that fit his book of business.
